Some times you want music to be soothing and meditative, other times it is intricate and technical music which appeals to you and then there are times when you just want to hear three screaming, guitar-slinger, drum trashing hooligans making a glorious noise to help you blow off a bit of steam. If you have a hankering for that sort of thing then The Castle on Thursday 12th July is place and the time that you need to mark in your diary.
Street Outlaws hark back to the later 70’s punk sound, when the art school kids had moved on and a second wave of working-class upstarts created a harder edged, brutal but honest terrace anthem sound. It’s fast, ferocious and fun, short, sharp sonic shock treatment that puts a dose of edge and attitude back in the mix and the perfect way to get warmed up before those lovely chaps Slagerij do their ska-punk thing.
