Two of the bigger names on the younger circuit play The Castle this session, perhaps two of the most likely Swindon bands to break out nationally.
The first time we saw Rain play they jarred some wonderful memories of bands we loved back in the day. We’re not saying that this is a conscious effort on their part but there was something in their music which reminded us of the heavier swirls of music from the likes of My Bloody Valentine and Ride. Ahh to be young again.
Polar Front is also a band to watch. Their fantastic blend of dream pop and sky-scraping indie sounds has already seen them endorsed by an experimental sampling manufacturer and the smart money is on them going very big, very soon.
Opening the night you will find Misfires and Break Glass To Open playing a much straighter musical bat.
