(2016) Saturday @ The Victoria

There are 5 sessions taking part on Saturday and each is roughly themed by musical style. If you like the more dance driven sort of vibe then The Victoria is the place to be.

SN Dubstation are the perfect band to round the night off, their mix of ska beats, dance grooves and hi energy performance, not to mention the fun of seeing all 27 of them fit on stage at the same time (slight exaggeration) is always an experience.

The songs which have emanated from the collaboration between Ruby Confue and The Lighterthief Collective over the last year have been nothing short of amazing and here you will get the rare chance to see her perform with a full band to do those tunes justice.

Last time we saw The Hat Club was also supporting SN Dubstation and when you see them you will understand why. But although they start in the same musical territory their ability to wander sideways into almost proggy and funky interludes is what really sets them apart.

Chaney is a new two-piece outfit fronted by Theo Altieri and combining live playing and clever sampling to build a really funky, dancey and progressive sound.

Opening the night is DREUW; delicate, otherworldly, sonorous and enchanting are just some of the words we wouldn’t use quite as much if he weren’t around.
