Jim Blair
The Pulpit

Although he can be found in full flow leading the groove machine JB and the Mojo Makers or writing his pretty mad Ink column, Jim Blair in solo singing mode is equally as fun. With a voice like he’s swallowed a packet of razor blades and a guitar style that sounds like sonic honey (or is that the other way around), Jim sings songs about the things important to him - friends, family, love and whiskey. Authentic blues for modern times, something summed up by the fact that he plays barefoot since he can’t afford shoes because he has 17 children. And they say that there is money to be made as a musician. Pah!
